I’m Isabella Littleford—a professional fashion insider who’s spent years discovering how luxury blends with real-world fashion.
Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the privilege of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that perfectly combines a distressed, lived-in vibe with luxury-level build quality. Here, I’ll walk you through my thoughts on different Superstar models, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to help you understand the appeal with advice shaped by my industry experience. Let’s dive into why Golden Goose sneakers deserve a spot in your lineup!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.
So I’m diving into a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where to score deals on them, below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and thoughts on the Dudley Stephens fleece pullover!
Where did you score your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping goldengooseslides.com was super fast and that’s a win in my book
How expensive are they?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They only needed minimal break-in time..
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Absolutely! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them with a promo is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I chose a loud pair, but a minimalist version would also be smart.
Where can I find them on sale?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.

- Gilt – signing up is free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50

Where were you able to get your pair?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
Placed my order on April 28th and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How expensive are they?
When I grabbed my pair in April, I paid just under $390, but their regular price is around $514.
These sneakers typically cost anywhere between $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
Are they true to size?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
How comfy are they?
They only needed minimal break-in time.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. The laces are intact, and the leather hasn’t stretched.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
